Since I'm crafting a site in a win98 style, I've been diving deeper into it's story, design, functionality, and all the inner workings along the way (sadly i was born a little too late to witness it firsthand).

As for the design — I adore it so much. It was made with such taste and style; the attention given to details and the color palette are a joy to behold, even considering the technical limits of the time. There's much soul in it. It was made by a human, for a human.

Against that backdrop, the state of things today looks quite apathetic. I genuinely hate this trend toward simplification and dumbing everything down. That liquid glass and random blur that makes every piece look the same is absolute dogshit. Personally I highly doubt it'll evoke any warm feelings through decades — if we even remember it at all.

That's why I'm choosing indieweb now. It's different. It's alive. And one of the most pleasing things is that the use of AI is much less welcomed here. AI is evil.

And Tiktok is evil too.

Execute me, but I have it on my phone. I'm a sinful little motherfucker, yea.

But now i'm increasingly leaning towards the decision of deleting it, so don't jump to conclusions. You know there's a lot of talk lately about how it ruins your attention span and impairs cognitive functions... And sure, some of you can say that's all bullshit, birds aren't real too and folks should put on the tinfoil hats, but

I do see its negative impact on my life firsthand and can do nothing but agree with what was said earlier.

I still have it installed for one single reason: streaks with my friends. Sounds stupid as fuck, doesn't it? And i say: it is.But let me explain: it might seem like a small thing< but it's one of the few ways i stay connected with my close friends. Everyone is busy with their own life, college, routine etc, and it's getting even more complicated to keep contact since we're far from each other now. Sharing a couple videos once a day doesn't take much time or require any special circumstances. Even so, this way you can show that you haven't forgotten each other and are keeping in touch, even if you aren't communicating the usual way. it makes sence.

Although maybe i just put a little too much significance into trivial things and that sad blue sweaty piece of shit in the corner of the chat is nothing more than a 2d sprite aka a lure to keep me mindlessly scrolling the vertical stream of brainwash

Nice to meet you, dear netsurfer!! as you might've read earlier, this is my little blog. This is the first time... Well, maybe not the first, but the first serious attempt of mine to keep organized entries. Hope everything works out well this time.

So... What I was going to talk about?

I've never ever wrote any kind of code before. I had some thoughts about learning it in future, but had no certainty with it. Two days ago I found out about Neocities and tried to make a site for fun. Oh how naive I was. Now I want to learn html css java python c++ any kind of code existing, it's such a captivating thing.

Tomorrow I'm gonna skip colledge. Due to some circumstances I can do it almost legally and with no damage to my academic performance, so I plan to continue working on my site all next day long. Besides, it will be much more pleasant than spending a whole day on the things you genuinely hate. Oh, that's an another big topic to talk about in long long paragraphs! Maybe I'll write about it later.
